Gutbook Support
Help, troubleshooting, and contact for the Gutbook app.
Gutbook is a private gut-health tracker for iPhone and Apple Watch. Everything works on-device and through your private iCloud — there is no Gutbook server and no account to manage.
Common questions
My data isn’t syncing between iPhone and Apple Watch
- Open Settings → [your name] → iCloud on your iPhone and confirm iCloud Drive is on.
- Scroll down to Apps Using iCloud and confirm Gutbook is enabled.
- First sync after install can take a few minutes. Force a sync by closing and reopening the app on both devices.
Apple Health isn’t receiving my symptom entries
- Open the Health app → Sharing tab → Apps & Services → Gutbook.
- Enable the symptom categories you want Gutbook to write (bloating, cramps, diarrhea, constipation, nausea, heartburn, fatigue).
The PDF export is missing entries
The PDF only includes entries inside the configured correlation window. To widen it, open Settings → Correlation Window inside Gutbook and choose a longer span.
How do I delete all my data?
Inside Gutbook: Settings → Erase All Data. To also remove the iCloud copy, sign in to icloud.com → Settings → Apps Using iCloud → Gutbook → Delete Data. Apple deletes private iCloud copies per their standard retention timing.
The low-FODMAP guide isn’t medical advice, right?
Correct. The protocol and food list are educational, sourced from Monash University’s public research on the FODMAP framework. Use Gutbook alongside — not instead of — care from a qualified clinician or registered dietitian.
